There are many causes of low back, pelvic, and hip pain. Finding out the cause is the best way to treat it accurately. Chiropractors train constantly to diagnose and treat many musculoskeletal issues. Low back pain which can be complicated by hip and pelvic pain is very common. When we investigate further, one possible cause of this pain is tight hip flexor muscles. This exercise is a quick guide to stretching the Iliopsoas aka hip flexor muscle.

Keep in mind that the stretch is likely treating the symptom. The underlying issue is potentially a dysfunctional movement pattern and/or a restricted range of motion along the spinal segments. Ask your chiropractor if these exercises are right for you.
